Busy Days

We've had several outings in Keillor's first few days. Yesterday we ventured out to Target and the Park. Debbie wanted to sit and relax in the shade with Keillor while Ryan and Maya played. However, she quickly found herself surrounded by 4 neighborhood kids who were oogling over 3-day old Keillor. One girl went to the extent of sharing with Keillor the science assignments for each individual in her class of 26 students.... he's already heard the sad news that Pluto is not really a planet. Glad we got that tough conversation out of the way!

Today, Maya climbed and jumped on the kids' toys at the mall while Keillor hung with the purple dinosaur. We also visited the pediatrician too and Keillor is doing well.

What is in a name

Regarding names, we did contemplate naming him Bob (Robert) for a bit. While it might have been considered a family name after Debbie's grandpa, uncle and cousin and Ryan's great-uncle, uncle and cousin, however, this had nothing to do with it. It was in the running because the anaesthesiologist who administered the epidural was named Bob. What a saint he was!

Keillor

Finally! The new baby is here. Keillor Ryan arrived on Sunday at 10:00 am, weighing in at 8lbs 7oz, 21 inches long. Debbie did great after 6 hours of labor, 2 1/2 hours of epidural, and 5 pushes in 3 minutes! Much better than with MGM at 2 hours of pushing. Both Debbie and K are doing great.
K had the little snip-snip today, so he is sleeping quite a bit, trying to forget the traumatic experience. Mom and baby will be home tomorrow, and MGM and Dad will be preparing the house for them tonight. God has given us another great blessing!
Today was a pretty rough one for Debbie. K slept for 6 hours pretty much straight. Then there was the gruelling massage. After the taxing effects of the massage, she was forced to eat warm chocolate chip cookies. As you can see, the second day of K's life was pretty rough on Mom.

First Blog

Well, here is the first blog of our new, well, blog. I am not sure what I should be saying in this one, but I guess I will make it up as I go along.
As usual, MGM is a big ham. Here she is with DLM pretending they are dogs sticking their heads out the window. It was about 30 degrees when I took this picture, but she didn't seem to mind.
This was taken at the Read-eo with Whiz Kids where DLM volunteers. DLM had taken Hugo to go ride the mechanical bull, and I got to try and get MGM onto the horse. To my amazment, she got on without any hesitation and even fed the horse a carrot.

We are approaching the adjusted due date of May 17th very quickly! We are still playing around with boy names, and pretty much have the girl's name locked down. I am still a little apprehensive about having two rugrats running around, and pray that our nerves will not be too frazzled. It will be an exciting time, and will be great as we get to welcome another beautiful baby into this world. God has truly blessed us.
Well, I will try this again another time.
